December 25, 2024 Lakehouse Studio Product Update Release Notes
This release (Release 2024.12.25, v1.6) introduces a series of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. Please note that these updates will be rolled out in phases to the following regions, and will be completed within one to two weeks from the release date, depending on your region.

New Features
- Product-Wide: Added a new user onboarding popup, combining guided feature tours and help documentation to help users understand and utilize core product capabilities.
- Data Sync: Added Redshift data source, supporting batch data import.
- Data Sync: When resuming a paused single-table real-time sync job after stopping incremental sync, filtering by specified conditions is now supported to reduce sync overhead.
- Data Sync: Batch data integration now supports syncing Parquet-format files from source S3.
Improvements
- Product-Wide: Complete visual refresh, covering modules including the product home page, data assets, and operations center.
- Task Development: The runtime timeout setting in scheduling configuration is now optimized to use minutes as the unit.
- Operations Center: The cron scheduling expression display has been adjusted to a 24-hour format.
- Data Upload: When uploading local files to a new table, the system now recognizes the local file name and auto-fills it as the new table name by default.
- Data Upload: Enhanced permission enforcement for data write modes. Append write now requires
insertandupdatepermissions; truncate-then-write now requiresdelete,insert, andupdatepermissions.
Bug Fixes
- Task Development: Fixed an issue where entering the task development page would show an error prompt due to no available cluster being found.
