We had nearly 10 years of data on our existing lake and thousands of pySpark jobs in Airflow. Any platform that required a full data migration was a non-starter. Singdata embedded directly into our GCS data lake-no data movement, less than 1% code change on our pySpark workloads, and our Metabase reports continued to work. We replaced Spark, Presto, and most of the Lambda stack with a single engine.
